They’re Using Tools! is a studio based in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded by Melinda Rainsberger in 2007 to compete in the annual 48-hour Film Project, it has since grown into a small group of designers and filmmakers with a knack for getting things done quickly and creatively. I
They! is equally influenced by HP Lovecraft (of whom the group indirectly takes its name), classic cartoons and a sense of surprise when zombies use tools. Resourceful creativity is the base of their unique style.
